Adults are needed to volunteer on a rotation basis on Sundays. All materials and snacks will be provided each Sunday. Please contact Presbytera Tara for more information. Town Hall Meeting following Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 10th for Youth ministries - both Catechism and other activities. This meeting will be led by Elaine Miller who is the new Director of Youth Ministries. We will be looking for ideas, volunteers, and taking questions and feedback. young at heart There will be no Young at Heart meeting in July or August. We will resume in September. general announcements Business Exchange Center - St. Nektarios is launching a Business Exchange Center. The Center(glass enclosed bulletin board) is located near Fr. Steve's office on the lower level of the Spiritual Life Center and will afford members of our parish community an opportunity to advertise their products or services as well as items for sale and items wanted to buy. Business cards and notices must be business card size or approximately 3.5 x 2 inches in order to be posted on the board. Submit cards to the office for posting. The Center will be locked; the office staff will maintain the board. Narrow Path Bookstore - The bookstore is open every Sunday following the Divine Liturgy. Bookstore is located on the upper floor of the Spiritual Life Center. The store is stocked with icons, books, notebooks, crosses, incense, etc. Book store is open on Tuesday mornings after Paraklesis services. Save the Dates: Sunday, October 26 - First Year Anniversary of Sanctuary Saturday, November 1 - Gala Sunday, November 9 - Feast Day of St. Nektarios Kafeneio will be open on Tuesdays after paraklesis until noon. You are invited to enjoy fellowship, koulourakia, Greek and American coffee. Bring cards, chess or backgammon. Kafeneio will be presented by the Hospitality ministry. Mother's Group will resume meeting every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. starting on September 3rd. Samaritan's Feet - St. Nektarios is now a partner with Samaritan's Feet, a Charlotte based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide shoes to the poor. They have distributed shoes in the U.S., Central and South America and Africa. The Missions Ministry asks the community to support this worthy project by donating new athletic shoes through a contribution to Samaritan's Feet. Please stop by the display table during coffee hour for information on participating.
